Delayed

Okay, so I have been on vacation for the last week therefore the posting absence! Alot of things have happened. A friend of mine started work from home, we went to the lake (last minute idea), I read an awesome book ("The Pledge" by Rob Kean), I got sun poisoning (uugghh), and refereed my son and his cousin the last part of the week. All was good though. We weren't going to go to the lake, but we decided Wednesday night to go so we just upped and left. Stayed till last night and now I am back at work. It feels strange right now, because this time last week I was all into my book, The Pledge, which by the way is AWESOME if any of you ever get a chance to read it. It got me to thinking that I really would like to write a book but I just don't know where to begin. I think I may start working on that, who knows. Anyway, so my son who is 2 1/2 and his little cousin who is 3 1/2 just wouldn't quit aggravating each other. It was like she wanted to sit on my lap with him, and then when he wanted to sit on her mom's lap (my hubby's cousin) she would be like "NO! that's not your mommy.!" So, my son would just lay his head in her lap just to annoy the 3 1/2 yr old. Then he would yell at her for something and the cycle just would not break itself. I mean they just kept on and on and on at each other. Of course though my son got yelled at more than the little girl did because her parents aren't as strict as we are on my son, so of course she got away with more. However, yesterday when she had slammed the door in my son's face for the second time and gotten away with it, I was ready to rumble. I kind of felt like Cartman and wanted to say "YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHO-RI-TAH!!

She did get punished for her attitude on the 3rd slam. Normal toddler stuff all in all though.

So, that is about it for now. Just wanted to check in and give an update on how my week was.

Oh! and the sun poison? Well, I have ruled out poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. I have ruled out that I am now somehow allergic to aloe because I put lotion on my feet and my back and shoulders, and the only place I am broken out is my arms and they got more sun than anything. So, who knows? I just know that my arms are severly itching and I wish it would quit. I hate being fair-skinned. And what good is sunscreen if I am going to break out in the sun with it on? Oh well, such is another one of life's dilemmas that I will get over.
