Been a long time....

Since i've posted anything that is.... just haven't had time or the energy or anything kind of initiative to post anything.. need to get back in the game... lots has been going on.. had another child, separated from my husband, etc... so anyway, another post to come shortly.. not that i really have any readers out in blogland but who cares.. i get to vent this way :) and don't have to hassle any of my co-workers w/ drama in the process :)

In Loving Memory...

Today I lost a dear friend of mine. No it's not the average type of friend, but still a loyal friend nonetheless. My wonderful dog and companion Chloe had to be put down today. I noticed last night that she had chewed all of her fur off her hip and that she wouldn't get up. So, I had my husband check on her and he said he didn't think she would make it through the night. She was really mopey and wouldn't eat. She looked fine Monday to me. Needless to say, when he got home today she wasn't responsive and just laid there. The spot on her hip worse than before. He rushed her to the vet and was told that she had gone into Catastrophic Kidney Failure. Even if they flushed her veins and pumped her kidneys she only had a 30% chance to make it. It just sucks cause she was part of the family. I have had her for close to 6 years and she was my baby. I will always remember her and she will always have a special part of my heart. Sorry if this sounds stupid to anyone but she was part of the family and it's like losing someone that you have taken care of and cared for. SO, I wanted to give her a memorial on my blog and just vent and cry and let it all out. Sorry the post is a downer, but I had to write about her. I had to give her a place in my blog all her own.

Oh boy.......or girl???!!!?

So, I was feeling under the weather last Wednesday through Friday and had to leave work early those days. It was weird cause I had the symptoms of a stomach virus but instead of being pale while feeling nauseous I was flushed and i mean bright red flushed. It dawned on me Thursday night that I was flushed when nauseous when I was pregnant with Nathan but surely this wasn't pregnancy...or was it? Me and the hubby have been trying for some time now but I never thought it would happen this quickly after pouring my heart out to the doctor that something might be wrong. So on my instincts I picked up a test at the local store and rushed home to take it Thursday night. No bells, or whistles or neon signs to alert me to what was going on..just a faint little plus sign!!!!!! Okay so I though but what if it is just a false positive. I went to the doctor yesterday and did a test there and she came back in the room carrying 3 packs of vitamins! I AM PREGNANT!!!! :) Only about 4 weeks and the only reason I know this soon is because of the sick issue last week and having a hunch. So anyway, i will probably be due around the end of January. I will have to post more later. I am super exhausted and just wanted to let everyone that reads this know!

Yesterday we went on a trip to Georgetown, SC to visit my aunt and uncle. We had a blast!! We walked on the boardwalk in downtown Georgetown and Nathan got to look at all the boats! Check out my little man




this is a "Pirate Ship" that gives tours of the waterway!! It is so cool in person!


I absolutely love historical places. Anyway, I have lost 12.5 lbs since March 26 and I feel so much better already! i am now in a pair of jeans that I couldn't wear when i bought them thanks to the 1" that I have lost in the waist!!! Well, that is enough for now So i hope everyone is doing okay and is havinga good weekend!!

Well, my family and I had a wonderful Easter as I hope everyone else did! Check out little man before church!!!

Then we went to my mom's and had an egg hunt w/ my niece, nephew, brother, sis-in-law, and aunt.!!! Nathan had a blast...check him out!




On a better note I can finally download pics from my camera!!! Score one for me! Yeah! And on an even better note i have lost 11 lbs in 3 weeks on Weight Watchers. So that is going better than I thought it would. Hope everyone is doing well! Will have more later..it is late right now!

4.5 Down...65.5 to go!!!

Just an update!!! I have lost 4.5 lbs since Wednesday! Just a start but hey it's a start. I am actually enjoying the diet... well Weight Watchers. I had a bowl of grapes and strawberries this morning w/ a cup of WW yogurt. And I am on my 2nd bottle of water already! Saturday I went out to eat and I had a grilled porkchop, w/ steamed veggies, and a baked potato w/ the butter on the side. I can't believe I am actually doing pretty good on this thing. Granted, if you are really big like me you usually lose a good bit the 1st week because of all the fluid but I am not letting that discourage me. Just happy that i have lost some. :)

Give it to Mikey...He'll eat it!!

Okay, so over the last few years I have gotten to a point w/ my weight that I can no longer stand!!! I just look at myself and think UGH!!!! hence the title of the post. I am truly Mikey anymore just shoveling in the food whether I am humgry or not. It's like my stomach tells me I have to have it. whatever it is. My husband tells me I am beautiful the way I am-fat and all. He likes that I am curvy, and I like some of my curves; however instead of being just voluptuous anymore I have gone overboard. Plus I know that age puts on weight sometimes but come on I am only 28. I want to be 120 lbs again, wearing a size 4 but my doc says NO WAY!! she only wants me down to 140 at the most so here I go on my journey to lose 68 lbs. And hey at least it isn't 168 lbs to lose. I just have to take it one day at a time. So, tomorrow I start Weight Watchers. I am doing the Core program which is more convenient for me than the points system. I get to eat lots of stuff I actually like and try new things. Like tonight I tried raspberries for the first time in my life (yes i have had raspberry flavored stuff but never fresh raspberries) and I loved them! And i can have all the fresh fruit i want. I also didn't know that I liked raw carrots and they are actually really good. So anyway, wish me luck on the weight loss thing.

It's a girl!!!

No, I am not pregnant (yet), but we do have a new member to our family!!!! My husband bought me a boxer puppy yesterday that I chose to name Roxie!!! She is so precious! Pics of course to come shortly!!! She is 12 wks old and just the cutest little thing. We now have a Rottweiler named Chloe, Roxie, and 3 yard cats- Rex, Twix, and Toby! Good thing we decided to fence in the back yard, now they can run and play together. We figured Chloe needed more company than just the cats who choose to sleep with her in her doghouse at night..lol. Anyway, like I said I will be posting pics of the "animal house" later!

The Doc's Verdict

Well, from the picture you might have guessed it--the doc has put me on bedrest for 2 weeks with my ankle. Seems that my ankle has become infected where I had the surgery. That is why it has been swelling and why the skin is abnormally red around the incision. Well, that's just great huh?! The doctor said I had been on it entirely too much and I told him that at work they wouldn't let me really prop it up, plus he told me that after a weekend of not being on it at all it would be fine and that I could go back to work. Guess I should've asked for the week after the surgery off but I was going on what he said. I didn't realize that it was excruciatingly painful to walk on it cause it was infected, I just figured it was from it healing. So, anyway, the stitches are out and I am out of work for 2 weeks. I am on 2000 mg of amoxicillin a day plus 10 mg of percocet for the pain. I just wish that my 3 yr old understood that mommy can't get up when he wants me to right now but of course he doesn't cause he is only 3. So, I stay off of it while he is at daycare and then when he gets home I just grin and bear it. :) Guess I will be able to catch up on the tivo'd stuff..lol.

In the midst of all of this I have managed to piss off the Vice President of the Special Loans dept. She sent me an email wanting to know why I changed something on an account and she sent the email while I was out. So I didn't answer her, I just waited till my boss got back into town to see what I should do. I told her yesterday what happened and she informed me to reply back and let her know that I was having it handled since I was on LOA. So I did and not 2 seconds later another email came to me from the VP and she says ( in a really pissed off tone) that if I was on LOA then I should have my out of office message on and have all emails referred to my manager and I shouldn't be checking and handling emails from home. Nothing in the way of "oh I hope you feel better or sorry to hear your ankle is worse than before" so yeah lover her too..lol. WTF!!! whatever. I did have the out of office thing on and I did what I was told to do by my manager. I called my manager to let her know that the VP was pissed at me and she said yeah I shouldn't be checking them while out on LOA. Okay whatever, you just told me to do it and now I shouldn't? Anyway, so I should have more time these next two weeks to post and to check on everyone else's posts :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful V-Day!! Mine was alright I guess. This is the 3rd day in a row that I am having to sit at home. My ankle started swelling really badly at work the other day and I got sent home. So i called the doctor to see if he could see me any sooner than Thursday and he couldn't but ordered me to stay off my foot till he could see me. I am worried about what he's going to say tomorrow. It just worries me that I have excessive swelling in my ankle and foot that I just had surgery on and that the side of my ankle keeps burning. But I will just have to have faith that everything will be all right. Sorry I haven't posted since before my surgery I just haven't had the time. The surgery actually went well, especially when I got my "happy juice" right before the "gurney journey" into the OR :) It was like liquid Valium. The strongest thing I have ever had is Morphine and that was with a C-Section. Anyway, that was some good stuff. Also wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts before the operation. It meant alot!!!!!!!! I will keep everyone posted on what the doc has to say tomorrow.

How did that happen?

The title of my post has to do with my doctor's visit last Monday. For the last 2 years i have been having problems with my left ankle. I couldn't put pressure on the outside of my ankle, or prop it up, or basically even touch it without it throbbing. I could feel something in my ankle but kept brushing it off. Well finally I went to the doc and he thought it was a cyst and didn't want to mess with it so he sent me to the foot doctor. I got there and he took x-rays and came into the room and proceeded to ask me what I had hit it on. Well nothing that i could think of. So, he tells me that what is in my ankle is a tiny piece of bone. YEP!! how'd that happen? I am flabbergasted at this moment. Needless to say he proceeded to tell me that I would have to have it removed in order for the pain to go away. He lets me know that he can do that for me in the office. UMMM, no! So i will be having surgery Friday morning to have this piece of a bone chip removed.

Yes, I had a child, went thru 9 1/2 hrs of labor w/ no meds, then finally had to have a c-section and i am telling you that I am still a wimp when it comes to seeing someone cut on me. Give me the medical channel anyday with any kind of surgery and I will watch all of that but no thanks on seeing my own, or knowing anything about a needle coming near me...lol.

and I apologize for not keeping up lately with everyones' posts. My new job (well the new dept i am in) is great but it is a lot more than I am used to. A LOT!!! My manager has me doing a ton of projects for her plus i am already training a few people (why she thinks I am capable of that i don't know because I am new to the area also). Anyway, needless to say I have been pulling long hours the past 2 weeks. Hopefully I will catch up with everyone soon.

This might not be funny to some people but I had to share what my son said the other night as I was putting him to bed. See, whenever I get upset I have a tendency to sigh really loud so my son has started mimicking me to which I will reply "don't huff and puff at me". Well, the other night he wouldn't listen so I sighed at him and he turned and looked at me and said "Are you huffing puppy at me?". It was too cute and me and my hubby just cracked up. Just one of those things that only a child could say to make you laugh.. :)

New Year!!

Hope everyone had a good New Year's!!! I have been super swamped with work lately hence the delay in posting. Love the new area I work in. We have to deal with the daily interest rates for the ARM home loans and it is really interesting. Alot better than the old dept I was in. Anyway, I had a fantastic Christmas. Hubby bought me a Canon S3 IS powershot digital camera for Christmas. I asked for a new mixer but he knew I wanted the camera more. I just never could bring myself to spend that kind of money on me, so he did it for me. I was so surprised. Now i can shoot video of my son, and pictures. It is 6 megapixels, w/ 12x zoom. Love it love it love it. I posted a pic of one to the side :) When I figure out the stuff on it I will have pics galore online..lol. Anyway, just wanted to touch base and wish everyone a belated happy new year!!
